Loyce Crouch, 87, formerly of Alvin, entered eternal life on September 4, 2016. She is no doubt experiencing a well-deserved reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her spirit lives on in her three loving children, her wonderful clan of brothers and sisters, and so many special nieces and nephews. Loyce began her life's journey on August 18, 1929. Daughter, Sister, wife, mother, aunt. Student, artist, Christian, mayor pro-temp. She became editor of both local newspapers and served on Alvin's city council for many years. Loyce enjoyed her morning coffee and tending to all of her flower beds. She was an adventurous baker and cook. Talking on the phone with family and keeping in touch was important to her.
Loyce passed peacefully at 3:27 a.m. on Sunday in Country Village Nursing Home in Angleton. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved mother, Mattie Goode, in Confederate Cemetery in Alvin. Her life and death can be celebrated by all of us who love and miss her. She is finally Home.
