Gerald Dennis DeLoach “Jerry-J.D.”, age 62 of Alvin, passed away on March 16, 2017. He was born on March 23, 1954 in Monroe, Louisiana to parents, Gerald T. and Betty (Atkins) DeLoach. Gerald moved from Atlanta, Georgia eight years ago and has been an Alvin resident ever since. Some of his greatest loves were gardening and writing. Gerald had a big heart and a soft spot for cats, he was always rescuing them.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald T. and Betty (Atkins) DeLoach.
He is survived by his partner, Richard Griffith; friend, Logan Clarke; cousin, Peanut and Laurie Copes of Pioneer, Louisiana best friend for over forty years, Barry Lunsford; long time friends: Charles Brust, Adam Wilmoth; and very dear friend, Aleida Zane of Warner-Robbins, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jerry’s memory to the Alvin Animal Shelter.
