Jimmy Dale Shaw

Jimmy Dale Shaw, age 74 of Alvin, passed away on July 31, 2018 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on February 3, 1944 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to parents, William and Doris Marie (Oliver) Shaw.  Jimmy came to Texas with his family at the age of 2 and has lived in Alvin ever since. He served our country as a Sargeant in the United States Marines Corp. in the unit VMFA 542 (Flying Tigers) during Vietnam. Jimmy married the love of his life, Elaine Eaton, on November 10, 2001 in Dickinson, Texas.

He enjoyed listening to 50’s music, going dancing at the VFW, drinking coffee, and telling many stories of his time in Vietnam.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Shaw; and sister, Mary Ables.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Elaine Shaw; children: Kimberly Essick, Stephanie Terry and husband Joey, Tonya Henshaw and husband Randy, Janet James, Jeff Foster and Shannon; sisters: June Sandel and husband Jerry, Molly Reavis and husband Lewis, Sally Curtner and husband Tommy; grandchildren: Nathaniel Terry, Austin Terry, Summer Terry, Melina Essick, Shannasy Ross, Tiffany Burleson, Tara Finley, Jordan James, Canaan Griffey, Winham Foster, Waylen Foster; and great grandchildren: Giselle Ross, Aidan Ross, Liam Ross, Ava Griffey, Adeline Griffey, Eleanor Burleson, Alice Hill, and Winham Sawyer Foster.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Froberg Chapel with Pastor Janet James officiating. The Interment will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at South Park Cemetery in Pearland. Pallbearers serving are Jeff Foster, Joey Terry, Nathaniel Terry, Austin Terry, Alan Sharp, and Mark Nordenstrom.
