Kenneth Wayne Ferguson

Kenneth Wayne Ferguson, age 85 of Alvin passed away on October 25, 2019. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina to parents Edgar Sterling Ferguson and Essie Mae Bishop on October 8, 1934. Ken married the love of his life, Laura Aline Just on October 4, 1986 in Newnan, Georgia. They moved from Georgia to Florida and then came to Texas in 2007. They first lived in Pearland before moving to Alvin and making it their home. Kenneth served in the Army National Guard. He was also a Captain for Eastern Airlines for twenty-six years.  In his early years he enjoyed golfing and traveling. While at home his enjoyment came from spending time with family and friends. He liked to watch NASCAR on television and to listen to Southern Gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Sterling Ferguson on January 18, 1963 and his mother, Essie Mae (Bishop) Gauldin on May 16, 1984.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of thirty-three years, Laura Ferguson; son, Edward Wayne Ferguson of Macon, Georgia; daughters: Beverly Anne Ferguson of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Melinda Joy Ferguson of Virginia; and other family members and friends.
