Margaret "Margie" Jewell (Smith) Costello

Margaret Jewell (Smith) Costello, 54, of Alvin passed away on August 30, 2018. Margie, as she was known to family and friends, was born on January 12, 1964 in Hollywood, California.

She moved to Texas at four years old, where she grew up around the Houston area. She met and married the love of her life, Ron, and they had four beautiful daughters.

Margie was a simple woman with a big heart. She was more comfortable in sweat pants than in fancy things. She found enjoyment in life with the small things and one of her favorite things was “all you could eat shrimp”.  Her life took her down many paths, but her heart remained with her girls and she loved them dearly.

Left to treasure her memory are her girls: Ronna Reist and fiancé Jake Clawson of Houston, Alicia Guzman and husband Sammy of San Antonio, Sarah Costello and grandchildren Elijah Shaw and Aiden Shaw of San Antonio, and Madison Costello of Houston; mother: Sandy Smith of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sister:  Kathy Hicks of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and numerous other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Froberg Chapel.
