Antonia H. Villarreal, 85, of Alvin went to be with our Lord on October 11, 2015. Antonia was born on January 17, 1930 in Galveston to parents Eduardo Hernandez and Angelita Santillan. She married Robert Villarreal on July 29, 1956 in Alvin and was happily married for over 57 years. Antonia lived in Alvin for the majority of her life and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was the president of the Guadalupanas and a member of Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed tending to her garden and cutting out coupons but family was most important to her. Antonia was preceded in death by husband Robert Villarreal; her parents; brothers: Gilbert and Hignio Hernandez; sister Frances Jiminez; son Robert Anthony Villarreal; grandson Steven Cordova; and great granddaughter Aubrey Kyle Koudelka. She is survived by her children: Linda Cordova of Alvin, Cynthia Villarreal of Alvin, Patty Villarreal of Alvin, Joe Villarreal of Alvin, and John Villarreal and wife Sandy of Pearland; brother Johnny Hernandez and wife Josie of Galveston; grandchildren: Renee Howells and husband Jason, Jessica Villarreal and fiancé James Savala, Joseph Villarreal, Angela Koudelka and husband Heath, and Marvin Hassell and wife Alicia; great grandchildren: Autumn Howells, Brayden Koudelka, Weylond Hassell, Ellissa Paiz and one on the way; many other family and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Oak Park Chapel. A funeral mass will be on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Father John Taosan officiating. Interment will be at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
