Bernice was born in Galveston County on 6/19/19. Most of her life she lived in Houston. She retired to Alvin about 35 years ago. The last 12 years she lived near her daughter, Janet Randolph, in Black Mountain, NC. She missed Texas but she did like living in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Her parents were Paul and Edith Flora. Only one brother is left, Maurice Flora of Como, Tx. The other family members Lester Flora, Herbert Flora and LaVerne Guidry have passed away.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Thompson Randolph and Janet's husband George Randolph. Bernice had one granddaughter, Lora Randolph Mander. Lora and her husband Phil live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Bernice was known for her laughter and fun spirit. She was the life of the partyShe spent several of her retirement years as a volunteer for the church.
The graveside service will be at the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin at 10:00am. Rev. Craig S King, Jr of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate.
