Betty Jo (Maclin) McDonald

Betty Jo McDonald, 86, of Rosharon went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2015.  She was born on March 19, 1929 in Blytheville, Arkansas.  Betty married the love of her life, Louis McDonald, on March 31, 1956 in Houston, Texas and moved to Rosharon in 1964.  She was a faithful member of Church of the Harvest in Manvel.  Betty was devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ and to her family.  Her favorite pastime was listening to her daughters, The McDonald Sisters, sing Gospel music.  She sold Stanley products for over 40 years and enjoyed shopping.  Betty was preceded in death by her husband; her mother Edna Frizell and father Howard Frizell.  She is survived by her two children, Jorene Martin and husband Stewart of Manvel, and Edwina Bachman and husband Mike of Rosharon; and two grandsons, Christopher and Caleb Bachman.  A visitation will be held at Church of the Harvest in Manvel on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 4:30p.m.  Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m.  Interment will be on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Manvel Cemetery.   Pastor Stewart Martin will be officiating.  Memorials may be made to Church of the Harvest.
