Courtney Danielle Coates, 27, loving daughter and mother went to be with our Lord on August 11, 2015. Courtney was born on January 23, 1988 to Don Coates and Marina Owens Coates in Nassau Bay, Texas. She was a member of Mercy Street Missionary Church in Houston and volunteered as a helping hand to single mothers who could not afford a sitter. Courtney loved the time she had with her mother and grandparents. Some of her favorite pastimes were camping, bicycling and getting lost with her cousin. She treasured her two children and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Always quick with a smile and a laugh. Courtney is preceded in death by her mother; grandfather Ted Owens; and grandparents B.A. and Mary Coates. She is survived by her father; grandmother Lita Owens; daughter Alexis Marina Hofstetter; son Jayden Reyes Herrera and his father Joey Louis Herrera; brothers Joshua Owens and Bryce Fitzgerald; her aunt Ana Bryant; her special sister Jessica Rodriguez; and many family and friends.
