David Lane Wilson, 80, went to be with our Lord on March 30, 2016. David was born on February 18, 1936 to parents Beckham Lane Wilson and Virgie Irene Barron in Memphis, Tennessee. He enlisted in the Army in 1953 and proudly served his country during the Korean War. David married the love of his life, Joyce, on December 15, 1956 and was happily married until her passing in 2007.
David was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years Joyce Wilson; his parents; his infant son Stanley David Wilson; and sisters: Hazel Wiley, Mary Bell and Shirley Pierce.
He is survived by his children: daughter Cheryl J. Martinez and husband George, son Daniel Wilson and wife Maggie, son Nathan R. Wilson, and daughter Marsha Bell; sisters: Ruth Baldwin and husband Phil, Lorene Shortridge, and Emma Brown; brother: Charles Wilson and wife Sue; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by those that he considered family: Victor Flores and wife Karina, Roger Bueno and wife Liz, Moses Garcia and Diana Gonzales, and Jesse Garcia; many family members and friends.
