Jacqueline “Jackie” Lara, 73, of Alvin went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Jacqueline was born on November 9, 1942 to parents Jack Stockstill and Francess Aline Rochell in Jackson, Mississippi. She was married to Antonio Andress Ruiz-Lara until the time of his death. Jackie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Alvin. She loved making people smile and laugh and was famous for telling jokes. Jackie’s favorite things in life were cooking, eating, and spending time with her family. She loved all of her grandkids, especially cooking breakfast and spending time with Stevie, Heather, Jordan, Dannie, Lindsey, Samantha, Kristen, Colby, JJ, Kara, and Kase.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Tommy Stockstill and Tony Lara, Jr; and other family members and friends.
She is survived by her children: David Stockstill and wife Paula, Brenda Hicks and husband Ron, Roger Stockstill and wife Sheri, Chris Lara, Antonia Klein and husband Neil, Ana Silva, Andy Lara, and Linda Beltran and husband Emilio; her sister Mary Nell Andrews and husband Eugene; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, family members and friends.
