Janice Merlene Prowell, 74, of Alvin made her journey home on September 23, 2018. Janice began her life story on November 19, 1943 when she was born to Eugene and Dorothy (York) Tucker in Brady, Texas. Jan moved to Alvin in 1977 and this became home. She enjoyed art and music. Janice worked as a dispatcher at Alvin Community College for 25 years.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Dorothy Tucker; brother, Charles Belletto; and sister, Glenda Grice. She is survived by her children: Laura French, Kelly Agnew and husband Allen, Michael Prowell and wife Melissa, Brandi Nanez and husband Jacob; brother: Tony Belletto, wife Diane and family; sister, Patricia Latham, husband Bobby and family; sister-in-law, Patsy Belletto; brother-in-law, Jesse Grice; grandchildren: Lauren Hunt and husband Michael, Jimmie Johnson, Matthew Weber, Jeremy Weber, Nicholas Prowell, Dylan Nanez, Marcus Nanez, Madison Nanez, Amber Keith, and Chris Keith; great grandchildren: Autumn Mendoza and Makayla Hunt; nieces and nephews: Charles Belletto, wife Lisa and family, and Christi Grice; the Nelson family, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
