Joan Marie Trautwein, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away on June 23, 2015. Joan suffered from Alzheimer’s for several years and was at the Evening Star Personal Care Home in Alvin, Texas at the time of her death. Joan was born in Waco, Texas on March 28, 1934 to William Vincent Weeks (former Laredo Police Chief) and Ethel Monroe Weeks. She grew up in Waco and Laredo Texas and eventually worked at a bank in downtown Waco where she met her first husband Tom Yadron, father of her six children. She married Charles N. Trautwein on February 14, 1969, in Laredo, Texas. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved cooking and baking. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards and games with her friends. She loved music and enjoyed singing. Her smile lit up the room. Survivors: children Susan (Gary) Stevenson of Houston; Tom (Cheryl) Yadron of Waterford, WI; David (Malou) Yadron of Paraguay; Karen (Jeff) Neerdaels of Alvin; Kathy (Steve) Schmitz of Keller; and Mary Lee (Mickey) Culberson of Ocean Springs, MS., grandchildren, Michael Coleman, Amy (Mike) Heinlein, Ryan (Chandler) Schmitz, Audrey Schmitz, Ashley and Brent Culberson, Andrew and Alex Yadron, and Kyle Neerdaels,and great grandchildren, Emma and Riley Heinlein, and Aubrey Coleman, brother Bill Weeks and sister Janet Salinas. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Trautwein, her parents, William and Ethel Weeks, and her sister, Kathy Upper.
Service will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Froberg Funeral Home, Alvin TX. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Froberg Funeral Home. Interment; Confederate Cemetery, Alvin TX.
