Josephine Meza, 95, of Alvin went home to her Lord and Savior on March 19, 2019. Josephine began her beautiful life journey on November 4, 1923 in Alvin when she was born to Jose and Magdalena (Caldero) Meza. Josephine, having never married or having children of her own, became a “Second Mom” to many. One of her favorite things to do was to spoil the children that were in her life. She baby sat for many over her years and she also worked in the nursery at South Park Baptist Church for many years. Her nephews, nieces and later their children, were greatly treasured. She loved them immensely and they felt the same for her. Other enjoyments that she had were to cook for others and dancing.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents: Jose and Magdalena Meza; and six brothers and sisters.
Left to treasure a multitude of memories are her brothers: Ernest, Charlie, and Benny Meza; sisters: Margaret Meza, and Mary Alice Vega; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
