Martha Joyce (Knowles) Kissinger

Martha Joyce Kissinger, 84, of Alvin passed away peacefully from this life on the morning of April 28, 2018. Martha’s life journey began on May 12, 1933 in Trinity County, Texas where she was born to Robert and Emma (Ashworth) Knowles.

Martha grew up and attended high school in Houston. She married Gene Kissinger in 1977. They moved from Houston to Alvin in 1999. She was a creative woman and loved both to sew and to quilt. Many of her creations can be found in her home and in the homes of those she loved.

Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Kissinger; her parents, Robert and Emma Knowles; and her sister, Nellie Gordon.

Left to treasure her memory is her daughter, Peggy Williams of Alvin and her son, William Shepherd, Jr. of Alvin; and numerous other family members and friends.
