It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Joseph Kasmer, 91, announces his passing on Thursday, October 31, 2019 in Webster, Texas. Born in Detroit, Michigan to Michael and Rose Kazmierowski on February 4, 1928 he lived his early years in the Detroit area. He also lived in Houston, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana and his most beloved Canadian Lakes, Michigan for 20+ years.
Bob spent time in the military and served in the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 55 years Edith Joy (Long) Kasmer in 2007 and his sister Rosalie (Kazmierowski) Cichminski. He is survived by his daughters Marilyn Kasmer and Vernon Patterson of Alvin, TX and Karan (Kasmer) Lawlor and husband Scott Lawlor of Galena, Illinois and son Robert M. Kasmer and wife Carol (Schneirla) Kasmer of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Chris Lang and Lisa (Lang) Giles, Renee (Reifschneider) Garland, Ryan and Sean Lawlor and Sarah (Lawlor) Donley, and Cory, Kyle and Ethan Kasmer; great grandchildren Connor Kasmer, Rowan Lawlor, Adelyn and Kynley Donley, Stella and Leo Lawlor and numerous nieces and nephews.
There was absolutely nothing that Bob could not fix, repair or create with his God given talents. He was always there to help relatives and friends alike. He loved reading, gardening, stained glass work, and playing bridge. He was a handsome quick witted loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone. He never met a stranger.
