Victoria Herrera Flores, age 89 of Alvin, passed away on March 3, 2016. She was born on November 17, 1926 in Hockley, Texas to parents Jose Antonio and Marcelina Gutierrez Herrera. Victoria married Jose Flores in Mexico. She moved from Brownsville to Alvin 25 years ago and had been a resident ever since. She was also a member of Emanuel Worship Center.
Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Flores in 1978; parents, Jesus and Marcelina Herrera; her eldest son, Miguel Flores and his wife Janie; grandson, Mike Flores (Mike-ito); and sisters, Tacha and Socorro.
She is survived by her children: Maria Elena Montoya of Alvin, Daria Victoria Flores of Alvin, Josefina Flores of Alvin, Jose Flores and wife Rita of Alvin, Olga Ramirez and husband Larry of Alvin, Jesse Flores and wife Flora of Alvin, Yolanda Ramos and husband Hector of Alvin, Elva Flores of Brownsville, Martin Flores and wife Angie of Alvin; 46 grandkids; 95 great grandkids; 39 AND COUNTING great-great grandkids; and numerous other family members and friends.
